Wholesale provider Volo Communications said today it is offering a private-label directory assistance service to CLECs, IXCs, cable and wireless operators, ISPs and resellers.
Volo has created the VoiceOne Information Service (VOIS) as a carrier/wholesale service meant to enhance a VoIP provider’s product portfolio.
Features of the enhanced 411 services include call completion, account setup that lets users complete calls or make calls via voice prompt, SMS text and e-mail messaging, call warning and more.
VOIS uses live operators and voice-activated computers to answer inquiries and find phone numbers. It also provides reporting tools such as logs of recent calls and summaries of directory assistance charges.
Service providers manage their directory assistance settings from Volo’s carrier Web interface, allowing custom greetings, global account settings, call statistics and more.
