Intec Telecom Systems (Booth 211), maker of billing, multiservice mediation and real-time mobile service charging software, has chosen SBC Communications Inc. and NTT America to complete its global network for connectivity between Intec offices and employees.
SBC companies will provide a SBC PremierSERV network-based VPN, dedicated Internet access and data CPE support for Intecs U.S. locations. NTT America, the wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of NTT Communications Corp., will manage Intecs MPLS services in Canada, Europe and Asia Pacific. Intec will use NTT Americas colocation facilities in the United States to secure its networking equipment, while SBC will manage the NTT America Arcstar global IP VPN MPLS service in the United States.
We were looking for a company that could provide us with a dependable, managed network solution in order to streamline our communications, says Jim Hammar, assistant global IT director for Intec.
The company says it plans to use its network to roll out video applications and VoIP capabilities between facilities in the future.
