sentit0 Networks (Booth 811) has signed a definitive reseller arrangement with Columbus Nova Investments. Under the terms of the agreement, Columbus Nova, through its Nova Telecom subsidiary, will resell and support sentit0 Networks solutions to telecommunications service providers throughout Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region. Columbus Nova and Nova Telecom have strong ties to major service providers throughout Russia and Eastern Europe.
In addition, Columbus Nova also has made an investment as part of sentit0s Series D round.
According to a recent report issued by the Probe Group, the Russian market is the largest in Europe and the sixth largest in the world.
sentit0s Open Network Xchange (ONX) is a VoIP switching solution designed for the Internet. The ONX integrates router technologies into the media gateway, making the solution scale better, provide better voice quality, and be more secure, according to sentit0. The ONX solution starts as low as 16 T1s or 12 E1s, and scales up to 192 T1s or 144 E1s per chassis, while providing carrier-class features such as 1:N line card protection and a full suite of voice compression options. For trunking and transport applications, the ONX features both the PRI and SS7/C7 signaling options needed by service providers as they build their networks.
From our groups investments in the Russian telecommunications sector, we know that all service provider segments in Russia are actively exploring the short-term rollout of VoIP services, says Andrew Intrater, CEO of Columbus Nova. sentit0s ONX is the ideal platform for the highly competitive Russian VoIP communications market. The ONX enables service providers to begin providing VoIP services immediately, while supporting the expansion of their voice networks and service portfolio on an incremental, grow-as-you go basis. Its unique flexibility is essential in allowing service providers to anticipate new service and application trends that are inevitable in such a dynamic market.
The reseller agreement and additional funding are a strong endorsement of sentit0s product acceptance on a global scale, says Dennis Chateauneuf, CEO of sentit0 Networks. Columbus Nova recognizes the extraordinary opportunity represented by the Russian VoIP market and sentit0s ability to deliver a distinct competitive advantage to the service providers there.
