Organizers of the CompTel/ASCENT show say this weeks convention and expo exceeded attendance expectations, even after the association was forced to postpone the show by six weeks and move the venue from Miami to Orlando due to the threat of Hurricane Ivan.
The association said today the show drew 2,200 attendees, up 40 percent from the Fall 2003 event. The trade expo featured 100 exhibitors, who reported making big-dollar deals and generating quality sales leads. The convention showcased speakers who included a number of the competitive telecom sectors top executives discussing investment and financial trends; VoIP business models and policy issues; wholesale opportunities; and technological trends impacting carriers.
CompTel/ASCENT is planning its Spring 2005 Convention & Expo, which will take place Feb. 14-17 in New Orleans.
