TelePacific Posts Positive EBIDTA in the Second Quarter

TelePacific Communications (Booth 504), a provider of telecommunications solutions to businesses in California and Nevada, reported it that it generated positive is now earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) positive in the second quarter of 2004.

The company also noted the following other operational developments: exited April 2004 with more than 200,000 lines in service, received a $12 million equity investment in April from Investcorp, launched a new data product suite capitalizing on the MPLS IP backbone, added more than 66,700 new lines in service since January 2004, and grew revenue 66 percent and line count 72 percent in 2003.

A large part of TelePacifics customer acquisition and customer service strategies relies heavily on its Telepartner Program. Over the past two years, this agent channel has shown solid growth and played a substantial role in earning positive EBITDA.

TelePacific continues to add new customers and maintains a retention rate greater than 99 percent, the company says. TelePacific continues to provide business customers with the post-sales care.
