Comtel Communications Chooses RPM Back Office

RPM Software (Booth 512), a provider of back-office solutions for the telecom agent channel, announces it has entered into an agreement to support Comtel Communications.

RPM marks the third generation of software deployed at Comtel. Previously, they had used Goldmine and SalesLogix. Even with dramatic modifications, the fundamental limitations of generic CRM platforms showed in the implementation for a telecom agency. RPM has been built from the ground up, with input from leading master agencies, to address the varied needs of the telecom agent channel.

Comtel has chosen RPM Software to provide a complete back-office solution. RPMs flexibility allows Comtel to easily model and improve upon their existing business processes, and allows their staff to spend more time with their agents and customers while also ensuring access to timely information, says Ben Humphreys, Jr., president and CEO of Comtel. Our agent partners depend on us to take care of the administrative burden of quoting, ordering, provisioning and commissioning telecom services, says Humphreys.

Comtel will deploy RPM over its entire organization, throughout offices in Richmond and Virginia Beach, Va., Harrisburg, Pa. and Baltimore, Md. All aspects of their operation, including their direct sales team, will be integrated with RPM.

In addition to being a master agency, Comtel is a co-founder of the Agent Alliance, an established group of premier master agents and independents, working to increase the value delivered to customers, agents and suppliers alike.

Another member of the Agent Alliance, Selec-Tel, already is an RPM Software customer.
