During the Channel Partners Conference & Expo, PlanetOne Communications Inc. (Booth 608) will demonstrate for the first time Logicware’s AgencyLogic platform it has released to its agents around the country. The software lets agents quote voice, data and IP circuits online, electronically submit orders, self-populate carrier forms, automatically send welcome letters to new clients, check the status of accounts and manage trouble tickets, all via the Internet.
"This project has been in the works for over a year now and we’re happy to announce we now have agents in the field actively using AgencyLogic to communicate with PlanetOne personnel and our vendors," says CEO Ted Schuman. "There is not another master agent or vendor in the country delivering this type of online support and resources."
Agents enter customer data only once and can request quotes online. If a prospective customer likes the proposal, agents can generate an online order in a matter of seconds. The customer data automatically transfers to the necessary forms, which are e-mailed to the customer, who completes the information online. Agents no longer are required to know which forms are needed by product and vendor, nor do they have to spend hours doing paperwork for one sale.
"We’ve had agents constantly tell us AgencyLogic performs in seconds what used to take hours and sometimes days," Schuman says.
AgencyLogic can manage trouble tickets concurrently with PlanetOne personnel and vendors, and pulls various reports. Several enhancements are slated to roll out later this year.
PlanetOne also has developed an AgencyLogic Support Site with audio/video training that shows agents how to use AgencyLogic at their own pace. The company now employs a full-time corporate trainer who exclusively supports AgencyLogic for PlanetOne agents.
"Our objective with AgencyLogic is to empower our agents with all the possible resources normally reserved to the carrier direct agents," Schuman says. "More important, we now can do this for all PlanetOne vendors through one portal. Our agents are no longer required to learn new extranets, order processing and procedures every time we roll out a new vendor. PlanetOne agents only have to learn one platform to manage their entire base of customers regardless of vendors or products."
PlanetOne is one of the largest master agents in the country, and supports its 750-plus agents with online tools and resources from its corporate Web site. The company’s alternate channel program gives authorized agents discounted voice and data services from top telecom companies. Since 1992, PlanetOne has marketed its products and services solely through agents and has been recognized by the Independent Agent Network for having one of the Top 25 Agent Programs in the industry.
