Pac-West Telecomm Inc. (Booth 215) announced an agreement last month to acquire the assets of Sentient Group Inc., a provider of hosted managed voice and data services. Pac-West expected the agreement to close within 30 days.
In December, Pac-West announced signing a joint operating agreement with Sentient in a deal Pac-West President and CEO Hank Carabelli said was designed to jointly develop opportunities for the application of VoIP solutions.
The companies are merging "to broaden our target markets and accelerate our entry into the medium and large-sized business customer segment using voice over Internet protocol," Carabelli says.
For the 2003 fiscal year, Stockton, Calif.-based Pac-West reported a net loss of $15.3 million on $134.6 million in revenue. That compared to a 2002 profit of $2 million on $164.1 million in revenue.
Security and UCaaS and SD-WAN, the triple-headed monster, dominated the news last week. https://t.co/Yoq7yrjhkf
