The Internet of Things is poised to play a huge role in the digital revolution, so partners need to be ready to seize the opportunity.

An IoT sale is different from a traditional IT sale, noted Christian Renaud, research director for the IoT practice at 451 Research, during his keynote at Channel Partners Evolution last month.

Vertical markets are a great opportunity, and an ideal place for partners to get their feet wet.

“Today I’d go after data centers and factories, automobiles and fleet equipment,” Renaud said.
