SYNNEX INSPIRE — A key strategic initiative for Synnex Corp. this year is helping partners grow their businesses in select vertical markets.
Thursday, at the Synnex Inspire 2016 conference, the distributor announced a new regulated-industries strategy to help partners in vertical industries such as transportation, healthcare, utilities and construction.
The new strategy focuses on products and solutions for mobility, cloud, converged infrastructure and Internet of Things (IoT). The strategy, according to Synnex, complements its portfolio for City Services around public safety, health care, education and building automation, which are part of the distributor’s Smart City technology segment.
Synnex executives say the company is positioned to help partners expand their practices in these verticals with internal initiatives such as the Healthcare Connect Fund, which provides discounts on eligible expenses related to broadband connectivity and infrastructure for rural health-care providers. Synnex will help partners apply for dollars from the Healthcare Connect Fund. The Synnex ServiceSolv group is a field services program that helps partners with go-to-market strategies as well as how to close opportunities in field services.
Taking a deeper dive into how the new regulated industries strategy impacts the various verticals:
- Transportation: fleet management, mobile data terminals, intermodal connectivity, track and trace, infrastructure monitoring and Vehicle Area Network solutions.
- Health care: mobile healthcare workers, long-term care, remote patient monitoring, support for first responders and Public Health.
- Utilities, including energy, waste and water: monitoring solutions, automated metering, and solutions to support field-based workers and meeting SCADA protocols.
- Construction: a toolbox of technology solutions – including wide-format printers, displays, 360 degree cameras, 3D input devices, drones, virtualization and virtual reality products – to help end users operate intelligent job sites.
