SkyKick is introducing a new cloud platform with new syndicated apps and APIs that allow partners to use its technology to customize and extend their ability to move, back up and manage customers in the cloud.
Syndicated apps allow partners to embed SkyKick’s white-label migration and backup apps directly onto the partner website in less than an hour.
In addition, SkyKick has opened up its APIs to enable any developer to build custom cloud-management apps or deeper integrations within a partner’s system, such as automating mass migrations.
Todd Schwartz, SkyKick’s co-CEO, tells Channel Partners that over the past few years, partners have been “telling us that finding ways to increase revenue and drive efficiencies are their No. 1 and No. 2 priorities for their cloud business."
“So over the last four years, we've worked hard to enable partners to drive revenue and efficiency by creating an innovative and integrated set of partner-only cloud-management products that would help them to efficiently migrate, back up and manage their customers in the cloud," he said. “We did that to particularly help partners easily deliver quality cloud solutions, be more efficient and build a foundation of recurring cloud revenue. As the cloud has evolved from early adopters to early mainstream, we’re now hearing that more and more partners want to find ways to build out their online sales and services capabilities to drive more customer reach, more customer satisfaction and more online revenue as part of their overall partner value proposition. Our syndicated apps and APIs help to address this need."
In addition, SkyKick announced the availability of its migration and backup apps on large distributor marketplaces, such as the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace, Synnex CLOUDSolv and ALSO Cloud Marketplace. These platform enhancements provide partners with additional capabilities to SkyKick’s current white-label apps available to partners directly on SkyKick.com.
