MegaPath Brings Feature-Laden UC to Channel

MegaPath on Monday launched the UC service it’s been expected for several months to introduce.

The managed services provider said its platform – built on CounterPath’s Bria technology – brings together IP telephony with collaboration features including screen sharing, presence, instant messaging, SMS text messaging, voicemail-to-email, call recording and video conferencing.

These capabilities, in addition to the ability to manage functions from a PC, tablet, iPhone or Android device, set the MegaPath product apart, said Michelle Davis, marketing director for MegaPath.

“Most other providers offer much more limited UC capabilities," she said.

Dan Foster, president of MegaPath, agreed.

“Today’s mobile and resource-challenged workers require more freedom and flexibility in how they communicate with their colleagues, teams, partners and customers," he said in a press release.

MegaPath has made its UC service, which is sold through the channel, available as an add-on to its hosted voice product. The combination gives users more than 50 features, the company said.
