While Apple is yet to give any hints about its upcoming iPhone release announcement, most analysts, forecasters, “supply-chain followers" and the like have settled on one still disputable “fact" – that, like last year, the Silicon Valley giant is getting ready to unveil two new iPhones as soon as next month.

Although this time, they won’t release a high-end and low-end version of the same model, as Apple did with the 5s and 5c. This time, the reports persist, we will be introduced to a 4.7-inch version of the iconic device – significantly larger than the display of the 5s – and a 5.5-inch, “phablet"-size version. Questions remain as to whether or not both devices will go on sale at the same time since some reports have claimed that delays have pushed the larger handset into next year.

The latest report says that the iPhone 6 featuring the larger display will also be faster. Timothy Arcuri, an analyst with Cowen & Co., told investors on Monday that the bigger device will have a more powerful application processor than the 4.7-inch phone, Apple Insider reported. This wouldn’t be breaking new ground for Apple, whose larger iPad is a little faster than the mini version.
