CompTIA ChannelCon — New leaders have been elected and new members added to the CompTIA Telecom Advisory Council.

The council is an invitation-only group of executives that serves as a strategic think-tank for CompTIA, the IT association, presenting ideas and initiatives designed to improve and grow business throughout the industry. Members of the Telecom Advisory Council have experience and insight into both the IT and telecom markets.

Mike Saxby, president of telecom master agency Communications Management Services, was elected co-chair. Saxby joins Jeffery Ponts, executive vice president, Datatel Solutions, a master agent and virtual service provider, who is the other co-chair.

Bryan Schroder, founder and managing partner, Juvo Technologies, a telecommunications expense management firm, was named vice chair.

Dave Dyson, chief executive officer, Eclipse Telecom, a provider of telecom lifecycle management services, telecom expense management and carrier procurement services, joined the council, as did Craig Schlagbaum, vice president, indirect channels, at cable and communications giant Comcast Business.
