A multiyear agreement between HP Enterprise Services and Avaya brings together delivery services, cloud-based unified communications, a contact-center portfolio and more.

As part of the deal, HP will assume service delivery of a significant portion of Avaya’s Private Cloud Services while sales contracts, service level agreements and overall client experience will remain with Avaya. The partnership will create a communications solution that will have mobile applications, software, networking for unified communications and customer experience management, the companies said.

The Avaya-HP agreement is designed to address growing global demand for comprehensive, secure, reliable business collaboration solutions, delivered as a service.

"Businesses are increasingly seeking alternative models for deploying and managing innovative communications and collaboration technologies. The agreement with HP is the right path at the right time to quickly address what is already one of the fastest growing areas of our business. Through our long-term relationship, we already share many customers. We expect that base to grow significantly with this new model, supporting the world’s collaboration business environment," said Pierre-Paul Allard, SVP of worldwide sales and president of global field operations, Avaya.
