In a two-week stretch that’s seen multiple moves by the big wireless carriers to keep existing customers and attract new ones, AT&T is the latest to offer an incentive.

The carrier on Friday said that any new or existing customer who activates a new line of service with a smartphone on the company’s AT&T Next device-upgrade program will get a $100 credit on their bill. Customers can choose the monthly installment plan that works for them – either AT&T Next 12 (a 20-month installment plan) or AT&T Next 18 (a 24-month installment plan).

This comes after Sprint and T-Mobile offered new incentives earlier this month that lower prices, add to customer data allotments, or both.
