Were you expecting to buy the iPhone 6 in September? Well, if new reports are correct, change your plans.

A new report says you shouldn't be surprised to see the iPhone 6 arrive later than September.Apparently, the latest Apple device, which will feature a 4.7- and a 5.5-inch version, won’t be coming your way until October.

Apple Insider says the Cupertino giant will unveil the new iPhone in September, but won’t actually start selling it until mid-October – Tuesday, Oct. 14, in fact. And as Mac Rumors notes, such a date would mark a big change for Apple. In previous years, the company has launched its iPhones on a Friday, although almost always in September.

But multiple outlets are saying Apple is facing higher customer demand than ever before, and it’s working to accommodate that demand, so the release date will come earlier in the week, albeit later in the year.
