MICROSOFT WORLDWIDE PARTNER CONFERENCE — BitTitan has teamed with Vaultive, the data encryption company. The companies say the partnership makes enterprise-class data encryption for Microsoft Office 365 available as a cloud-based service to small and medium-size businesses (SMBs) via the BitTitan Data Encryption offering.

SMBs are increasingly moving to the cloud, but the move is often at the expense of the company maintaining exclusive control of data, making it accessible to the outside world. This BitTitan-Vaultive tie-up adds an extra, critical layer of protection to a company’s Office 365 data, the companies said. Data is encrypted before it goes to the cloud and stays encrypted while in transit, in use and at rest, providing end-to-end security. The encryption keys are separated from the encrypted data, preventing unauthorized access.

This partnership enables Vaultive’s encryption-in-use technology to be implemented through BitTitan’s cloud-based automated processes and services. BitTitan’s Data Encryption will be available as a service, eliminating the need for on-premises servers, reducing management, maintenance and extra support needs.

“For any company that’s moving to the cloud, data control is just as high of a priority as the cloud’s flexibility and cost savings," said Elad Yoran, Vaultive CEO. “By implementing our enterprise technology through BitTitan’s IT automation solutions, we’re giving SMBs easy access to higher levels of control and security so they don’t have to think twice about moving to Office 365."
