Tech Data Unveils New Website for SMB Resellers, Loyalty Program

Tech Data unveiled Monday a new website to help resellers who cater to SMB customers and a new loyalty program designed to increase their repeat business.

The new TDSMB website, which is available at SMB.techdata.com, streamlines ordering while providing SMB solution providers new collaboration tools and enhanced capabilities.

"Tech Data is the first company in distribution to offer a site with this level of technology for both solution providers and vendor partners, offering online collaboration, enhancing the user experience, and enabling a better flow of information," said Phil Filippelli, vice president of E-Business at Tech Data, in a prepared statement.

Existing solution providers who buy from the Clearwater, Florida-based distribution giant will immediately notice the site’s new user interface, personalization capabilities and multi-platform support. Tech Data customers can access the site from any mobile device, with “resolution dynamically adjusting to fit various screens," the company said.

At the new TDSMB site, solution providers can directly access several Tech Data services, including the following:

  • Ambassador Care: A service to onboard and educate solution providers on growing their sales, and tips for creating detailed account profiles and aligning with the Tech Data sales team. 
  • Sales Select: A service to provide solution providers with personalized sales assistance dedicated to helping VARs and agents develop a market niche and broaden their technology offerings.
  • Financial Services: Flexible credit options for SMB solution providers.

In conjunction with the launch of TDSMB, Tech Data rolled out TDLoyalty, the company's first loyalty program designed exclusively for SMB resellers. When solution providers participate in the program, they can earn loyalty points that determine their status within the program. The program is divided into three levels (Advantage, Choice and Preferred) and provides participating partners different levels of services, discounts and incentives based on their annual Web spending. Solution providers can earn points to purchase items from a catalog of more than 10,000 items or redeem them for Tech Data's marketing services through TDAgency.
