Polycom Inc. has found a replacement for Mike Conlon, who served as global channel chief for just 10 months before leaving the company.
Mark Arman now steps in as vice president of worldwide channel sales at the equipment and software vendor.
Arman comes to Polycom from L.E.K. Consulting Technology, where he worked in the technology and sales force optimization practice. Before that, he held various sales and channel roles at ShoreTel. He now takes on responsibility for Polycom’s global channel strategy.
“Mark brings to Polycom the experience, results and leadership we need to drive our partner program to the next level and provide the best service to our customers," said Damian Artt, president of Americas sales for Polycom.
Arman’s predecessor, Conlon, had worked for Polycom since 2009, but lasted less than a year as head of the channel.
Polycom has been through some turmoil in the past year as the company braves the capex-to-opex buying shift, suffering layoffs, low morale and the still-mysterious resignation of former CEO Andy Miller.
