NetCarrier on Tuesday rolled out nCloud xStream, a business broadband service that delivers speeds of up to 500MBps.

“This product gives agents and VARs a commissionable alternative to the cable companies," said Bruce Wirt, vice president of nCloud Sales at NetCarrier, a Philadelphia-based hosted PBX provider and CLEC.

“This is an exciting day for our channel," he added.

nCloud xStream’s retail pricing starts at $169.95 and includes static IP addresses and managed equipment. It’s deployed over fiber optics and is available in 16 markets in the continental United States, including the cities of Los Angeles, New York and Philadelphia.

Partners may sell nCloud xStream as Internet-only or bundle it with NetCarrier's PRI, analog, SIP or hosted PBX products.

On top of that, because NetCarrier only sells through the indirect channel, smaller agents and VARs will earn evergreen commissions on xStream sales, Wirt said. There’s a separate agreement for master agents who can sell in volume.

“I do not employ a direct sales component," said Wirt. “Unlike many of our competitors, we will not be competing against our channel with this product; this is a tremendous opportunity for our partners."
