MetTel’s New Marketing Head Calls Agents ‘Most Important Channel for Growth’

MetTel, a provider of IP communications services, has hired a new head of marketing who calls agents “by far MetTel’s most important channel for growth."

MetTel's Don KeaneThat’s the word from Donald Keane, MetTel’s vice president of marketing. He comes to the New York City-based company from contact center provider Genesys, where he also led marketing.

Before Genesys, Keane held top marketing roles in MicoStrategy’s cloud contact center division, and at SaaS provider LegalMatch. Keane also, in his 20-plus year career, has worked for EarthLink, Intuit, General Mills and Rust-Oleum.

At MetTel, Keane aims to help strengthen the company’s indirect strategy.

“We highly value our current agent relationships and will be looking to aggressively add new ones across key verticals, like financial, healthcare, retail, travel and technology," he said.

Keane oversees MetTel’s marketing communications, creative services, customer acquisition and product marketing for services including voice, data, TEM and cloud. Marshall Aronow, CEO of MetTel, said the company is experiencing “rapid growth" in the enterprise market and that Keane’s expertise will help fuel those increases.
