Arkadin this week launched hybrid audio for its video conferencing platform.

That means participants may choose whether to join a conference via the PSTN, not just the VoIP audio built in to ArkadinVideo.

The option expands the potential number of participants in a video conference, Arkadin said.

"If a participant prefers standard phone access for better audio stability, or if they are in a location where they don't have broadband, they now have the option to join the same conference call via a standard phone connection," said Thomas Valantin, managing director of Arkadin.
