Zoom Video Communications has selected Voxbone to connect to local telephone networks around the world.

As part of the agreement, Zoom has selected toll-free phone numbers from Voxbone for expanding the scope of its cloud meeting service. Zoom’s conferencing end users can now dial into a multimedia conference from a regular landline or mobile telephone when a broadband Internet connection is not available.

Voxbone's carrier-grade inbound SIP trunking offering is available from many locations worldwide over a single IP-based interconnection. Voxbone does not charge per-minute fees for international transport of calls.

“Voxbone’s service is ideal for Zoom because it offers carrier-like quality of service with Amazon-like ease of ordering and service management and requires no setup," Voxbone CEO Itay Rosenfeld said. “As a result, Zoom can focus on what it does best, and that’s providing a top-notch video and multimedia conferencing service."
