Twilio this week beefed up its platform.

The company provides a cloud communications platform that exposes APIs, enabling developers to add voice and text functionality to their Web and mobile applications.

To that end, the company has added its new global low latency architecture to Twilio Client's WebRTC capabilities, which are in public beta. The architecture enhances Twilio Client and helps reduce audio latency.

Twilio further has upgraded its conference recording functionality so enterprises automatically can capture and archive every voice call with an API. Recordings can be stored in the cloud or on-premises.
