Tech Data Corp. and ViaWest have announced a distribution agreement that gives Tech Data's channel of U.S. solution providers a complete suite of secure colocation and cloud solutions.

Through the partnership, ViaWest's data center and pure cloud offerings are now available through Tech Data's TDCloud business unit.

As security risks continue to rise, businesses are seeking colocation services to protect their existing IT infrastructure, ensure systems integrity and scale growing data and storage requirements. The addition of ViaWest's colocation and cloud services to Tech Data's Solutions Store enables solution providers to meet growing market demands for their end-user customers to ensure data security and availability, meet compliance requirements, grow and scale with cloud, and increase uptime and profitability for their businesses, Tech Data said.

"ViaWest is excited to announce its strategic partnership with Tech Data, which amplifies our market reach with partners and enables us to offer businesses a unique combination of solutions that meet the demands of an ever-changing technology landscape," ViaWest President and CEO Nancy Phillips said. "Collectively, we provide value-added solutions that address compliance and security requirements across a variety of industries, including technology, healthcare and financial services, among others."
