Integra this week said it has put higher bandwidth and new network redundancy options in its Wavelength service portfolio and extended its reach to Europe thanks to a peering agreement.
First, the provider now offers 40G and 100G capacity, in addition to its already available options, across its metro and long-haul fiber footprint. This is good news for users requiring data center and cloud connectivity, networked storage and WAN services.
And next, Integra now reaches Europe thanks to a deal with IX Reach. Integra customers get direct access and low-latency data transport to more than 1,000 Europe-based peer networks.
“As multilocation enterprises have grown as a portion of our overall customer mix, so too has network traffic from our U.S. networks to points across the world, particularly in Europe," said Jason Koenders, senior vice president, engineering and network planning at Integra. “Expansion across the Atlantic was the first logical step for us internationally."
