IT departments now can provision endpoints at the data center and in the wiring closet without having to configure devices in between.

That comes courtesy of Avaya, which released its new Automated Campus product on Wednesday.

Automated Campus comes with networking products such as Virtual Service Platform, Fabric Connect software, Identify Engines and Fabric Attach. Fabric Attach extends automation from the data center to the end device by removing manual provisioning from devices including wireless APs, and IP cameras and phones. It also reduces the chances of error because it eliminates edge CLI commands that can cause service delays, and downtime and performance problems.

Avaya Automated Campus builds on the company's software-defined data center framework.
