Time Warner Cable Business Class (TWCBC) said on Friday it's the first North American company to receive all six retail Carrier Ethernet 2.0 certifications granted by the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF).

In 2008, the company was the first cable operator in the world to earn the MEF 14 certification.

TWCBC got its latest certifications for E-Line, E-LAN and E-Tree service configurations. The company also now employees 57 MEF-certified staff, 24 of whom are Carrier Ethernet 2.0-certified.

TWCBC Ethernet services are available in more than 58,000 fiber-lit buildings and 800,000 DOCSIS-equipped buildings.
