Integra on Wednesday evening confirmed that it has a new channel chief.

Less than a year after he was appointed, Tom Weaver is gone from the Oregon-based CLEC — there is an unanswered question of whether he was fired, as a spokesman on Thursday morning said he was not authorized to discuss HR matters. Integra hired Weaver last winter, officially debuting him at the Spring 2013 Channel Partners Conference & Expo.

Now, Weaver, who came to Integra with an IT background and was instrumental in revamping the company's channel contracts, is gone from the company; Integra did not immediately provide an explanation for his departure.

However, Integra did say it has named Weaver's replacement: Tom Gorey, whom many partners will remember from XO Communications. Gorey's title, according to his LinkedIn profile, is vice president, indirect channel for Integra.
