Bring Your Own Wireless has added unlimited talk, text and data packages to its prepaid service plans.

Plans start at $15 for 50MB of data and unlimited texting, with the New Unlimited Talk and Text giving you 500MB of data for $40. With service availability in all 50 states and Puerto Rico, BYO Wireless offers online reactivation on most old cellphones with new monthly talk, text and data plans available for as little as $5.

"We're excited about the expansion of services BYO Wireless can now offer consumers," BYO Wireless CEO Graham Black said. "Bringing data into the mix is an important milestone in our commitment to exceptional customer service."

BYO Wireless requires no activation fees, contracts or credit checks to reactivate most old cellphones, the company said. Customers can activate a phone they already own at a price that best suits them.

The company says there are more than a half-billiong discarded or unused cellphones in the United States alone.
