AT&T, Equinix Team

January 27, 2014 - News

AT&T and Equinix are working to speed up the adoption of cloud services with an agreement to embed AT&T NetBond into select Equinix data centers.

AT&T NetBond lets customers connect to their cloud services using their private AT&T VPN networks, rather than relying on access via the public Internet, AT&T said. The alliance will create the opportunity for cloud providers to allow access to their services via AT&T NetBond from Equinix data centers around the world.

AT&T NetBond combines the provider's virtual private networking with cloud resources, allowing businesses to access their cloud platforms. It also dynamically allocates VPN bandwidth, so customers consume as much or as little as they need.

Equinix and AT&T expect their combined capabilities to be available in the first half of 2014.
