Verizon Wireless will soon launch two new smartphone plans at lower prices for a limited time, according to a new report.

The first offers 250MB of data for as low as $45 per month and the second has 1GB of data for $60 per month. Both have unlimited talk and text as part of Verizon's Share Everything line of plans, according to Droid Life. Nothing is confirmed yet, however, from the carrier.

Verizon normally charges $40 per device per month, plus a separate charge for a data package, with the cheapest being 250MB for $20. That puts your bill at $60 per month. The new package will be $15 cheaper. And for the second package, the price would normally be $90 per month ($50 for 1GB data), saving you $30.

These new plans may be Verizon's response to similar recent price cuts by T-Mobile and AT&T. The move could also be an attempt to cater to customers who don't use a lot of data.
