Cloud and SIP trunking provider IntelePeer has introduced new E-Rate services tailored for public schools and other educational institutions. They include subsidized communications services for schools and libraries throughout the United States.

Those who qualify benefit from 20-90 percent cost reductions through funding from the Universal Service Schools and Library Program, operated by the Universal Service Administration Company (USAC).

"To prepare all children equally for the future, educators need the best communications and collaboration tools available," said Margaret Norton, IntelePeer CMO. "The E-rate Services program ensures that schools have the vital connections and most up-to-date communications services they need to educate the leaders of tomorrow regardless of local education budget constraints."

Funding for the Universal Service Schools and Library Program is provided by Universal Service Fund charges applied to interstate and international telecommunications services. IntelePeer's E-rate Services are available immediately and extend the company's portfolio of services for the education vertical market serving K-12 and higher education institutions.
