Avaya on Wednesday confirmed industry rumors that CMO Mark Wilson is leaving.

"Mark has accepted a position with another company and we wish him well in his new venture," a spokeswoman told Channel Partners.

Avaya said Wilson is keeping the name of his new employer quiet for now; his last day will be toward the end of this month.

Wilson has served as Avaya's CMO since July 2012. He also has worked for AT&T, Sybase and KPMG.
