Ingram Micro Inc. has announced the winners of its 2013 U.S. Smart Partner Awards, with Cisco taking the company's prestigious Most Valuable Player Award.

The Smart Partner awards recognize top-performing IT vendor partners in the United States. In 2013, 20 vendors partnered with Ingram Micro to develop and deploy market strategies, tactics and programs that the equipment giant says are proven to deliver business value to channel partners.

This year, Cisco got the Most Valuable Player award and HP was presented with the Collaboration Award. Juniper won the Agency Ingram Micro (AIM) award and Dell won best emerging hardware vendor. Kaspersky Lab took the software equivalent.

"The Smart Partner awards recognize IT vendors who are working closely with Ingram Micro to change the conversation from speed and feeds to business applications, and do more to create greater overall value for our mutual partners," said Jennifer Anaya, vice president of marketing for Ingram Micro North America. "Through collaboration, dedication and hard work, these 20 vendors particularly standout for their successful teaming with Ingram Micro's marketing organization, as well as our divisions and business units to enable our channel partners to win more business, grow more profitably and deliver exceptional service to their customers."
