CLOUD PARTNERS — PaperTracer (Booth 114) has added two key functionalities to its document and workflow management platform: the ability to perform full text searches thanks to optical character recognition (OCR), and the ability to sign documents electronically.
PaperTracer used ABBYY FineReader Engine for the OCR capability, which now is available in PaperTracer version 6.3. As a result, users may capture data, convert it into searchable PDFs and import those documents into the system.
The e-signature application will be released as part of version 6.4. There will be no separate fee to sign a document. PaperTracer said the e-signature function complies with HIPAA requirements.
