CLOUD PARTNERS — Internet and mobile security provider AVG Technologies (Booth 122 and an Executive Sponsor) has named Marco La Vecchia its new vice president, channels, North America.

La Vecchia joins AVG from N-Able where he led the company's sales operation for North America and successfully grew its partner base. He and his team will be responsible for driving new business and accelerating the growth of AVG’s combined SMB software-as-a-service business – AVG CloudCare, Managed Workplace, Network Operations Centre and Helpdesk across North America.

“This is an exciting opportunity," said La Vecchia. "AVG is a fast growing organization with a very solid SMB product portfolio. I’m looking forward to using my RMM expertise to help continue to grow our channel base and extend our reach in the SMB marketplace with our service providers."

AVG CloudCare provides small business resellers and MSPs with what AVG calls a free-of-charge, easy-to-use cloud-based administrative platform, allowing them to remotely deploy and manage their clients’ security with AVG antivirus. AVG CloudCare has amassed more than 1,000 reseller partners and is already managing tens of thousands of small business endpoints across the U.K. and North America.
