Cheyenne, Wyo.-based Green House Data this week broke ground on a new data center in its hometown.
Green House, which provides cloud hosting and colocation, says the first phase of construction on the 35,000 square-foot facility will be done by the end of March 2014. The new data center is in the Cheyenne Business Parkway. Green House says the location was chosen due to its proximity to existing infrastructure and the potential for growth.
“We began planning a new build as we neared capacity in our current facility," said Shawn Mills, President, Green House Data. “We’re now above 95 percent occupied, and this expansion will help position our existing customers for growth as well as allowing us to offer colocation and disaster recovery options to organizations on either coast."
Green House is a VMware vCloud-powered partner.
