Leaders and executives from manufacturers, channel partners, consultants, and enterprise CIOs will gather at the UC3 Summit in San Diego, Calif., Oct. 27-30, 2013, to explore the business value of technology solutions covering unified communications, collaboration, cloud and mobility. The two-and-a-half-day conference is presented through a joint partnership between discussUC and VIRGO Publishing’s Channel Partners organization.

“For a number of years, integrators and other channel partners have observed a shift in customers’ buying drivers, from a technology focus to a business value focus," said Pam Avila, CEO of discussUC. "The participation of CIOs at this event offers participants a unique opportunity to better understand the new relationships, roles and strategies required by this focus on addressing business needs and issues."

The partnership between discussUC and Channel Partners is built on this shared focus on delivering business value from technology.  “We’ve watched the Channel Partners organization emphasize business value at their own events and in their own publications, and we felt that they would bring significant value to the content of the UC3 Summit," Avila said of the collaboration.

“From the beginning of the IT and telecom convergence, Channel Partners has been a leader in providing the strategic insight our audience requires to fuel their business transformation via our print magazine, Channel Partners online, the Business Value Toolbox, Cloud Insights and our live events," said John Siefert, CEO, VIRGO. “We are pleased to be part of this gathering of  industry thought leaders, channel executives, consultants and CIOs to discuss, debate and define what it means to provide business value to customers."

This year held at the exclusive Rancho Bernardo Inn and Resort in San Diego, the UC3 Summit provides networking opportunities, education and information exchange for channel partner executives, consultants and CIOs who attend by invitation only. A small number of manufacturers are offered the opportunity to participate in the networking and education process via sponsorships. Whether a vendor is large or just beginning its growth, the UC3 Summit offers a “level playing field" for interfacing and networking with the pre-qualified attendees. The Summit events date back to 1999 when the first CT Summit convened. The event has evolved over the years to keep pace with the changing industry.
