Trend Micro VSPEX Validation Gives EMC VARs Security Options

July 09, 2013 - News

VARs who deploy EMC's VSPEX reference architecture have a new option for securing those projects, now that Trend Micro Inc. has earned VSPEX Labs validation of its Deep Security software.

VSPEX is EMC's virtualization platform sold through the channel. VSPEX is designed with Cisco, Brocade, Citrix, Intel, Microsoft and VMware in mind so end users get choice and flexibility. Adding Trend Micro's Deep Security gives partners additional assurances for protecting customers' IT deployments – and it works for large and small enterprises, as well as SMBs, Trend Micro said.

The VSPEX Labs validation further means that VARs no longer have to be security-focused to include security in infrastructure deals, said Trend Micro. This helps VARs of all kinds expand their business models.

"The validation of Trend Micro Deep Security for VSPEX will give our channel partners the tools and resources they need to help their customers be profitable and sustainable as they journey to the cloud," said Kevin Simzer, senior vice president of marketing and business development for Trend Micro.
