Datto UK To Follow U.S. Channel-Only Sales Model

Backup and BC/DR solutions provider Datto Inc. is further expanding into the U.K. and EU markets with the acquisition of Paradeon Technologies.

Datto says the U.K. site will include a dedicated office with sales, operations and marketing teams focused on the U.K. and broader EU sectors. Partners will gain access to enhanced U.K.-based technical support for the full suite of Datto devices and services. Datto also is expanding its partner training program and will offer Datto Academy classes at the Reading, Berkshire, office. Datto UK’s cloud is based in the Portsmouth PEER 1 Hosting Green Data Center.

Datto devices have been sold in the U.K. market for the last two years through distributor Paradeon Technologies, which is now officially Datto UK. The company wants to echo its success in the U.S. by following the same channel-only business model. Solutions will be resold through MSPs, VARs and IT service providers to end-user businesses.

“By launching a dedicated office and full-time team, we will better serve our Datto Partners in the U.K.," said Austin McChord, founder & CEO of Datto. “We’ve got ambitious plans to expand our offering into new markets across Europe and this acquisition will enable our companies to work even closer together as we move forward."

Datto’s product suite includes Datto SIRIS, Datto SIRIS Lite, Datto ALTO, and Datto G Series. Datto solutions are scalable to meet the needs of every business, regardless of size, with options ranging in size from 150GB to 100TB.
