Cox Business has unveiled VoiceManager IP Centrex, a cloud-based, business-class phone system designed to fuel productivity and maintain financial controls in one reliable communications platform.
Aimed at small businesses, Cox says VoiceManager IP Centrex is ideal for organizations looking for a sophisticated but easy-to-use phone system. It's fully managed by the cableco.
IP Centrex has no upfront investment and one monthly fee. Cox says the managed solution helps businesses optimize staff productivity for core operations and helps ensure calls are never missed, even if disaster strikes. IP Centrex is hosted in the cloud over Cox Business' private network, providing built-in business continuity to minimize the impact of natural disasters or malicious network attacks.
"IP Centrex is ideal for growing organizations that don't have the time to manage their phone system, but need secure, business-class capabilities," said Jeff Adelmann, vice president of product development and management of Cox Business. "The cloud-based solution delivers the complexity of traditional PBX or key systems in a reliable, affordable voice system that can be managed remotely."
All VoiceManager IP Centrex customers get Cisco SPA phones with HD Voice.
"There's a significant need for managed services among small businesses because owners and IT managers are realizing the benefits of having technology managed securely offsite," said program director and industry analyst Matt Davis of IDC. "As a facilities-based voice and data provider to the small business community for many years, Cox Business' hosted IP Centrex solution is a great fit for small businesses looking for a communications service that can grow with their business while requiring a minimal upfront investment."
