Carousel Industries consults, integrates and manages technology solutions, including unified communications, managed services, virtualization, VoIP, video conferencing and collaboration and data infrastructure solutions. The company is based in Exeter, R.I., and has more than 1,000 employees, including 25 technicians, working from offices in 30 locations across country. It serves more than 6,000 customers, including 35 of the Fortune 100.
Intelisys is a distributor of business communications services including voice, data, access, cable, collaboration, wireless and cloud. The partnership with Intelisys gives Carousel access to more than 60 of the telecom industry’s cloud and network suppliers, as well as a residual commission model.
The partnership first began in 2009 when Carousel acquired DayCom, a California-based VAR with which Intelisys already had a working relationship. Over the years, the connections and opportunities between Carousel and Intelisys continued to grow, the companies said in a press statement. The current agreement, formalized in December 2012, already has resulted in significant returns. In the first quarter of 2013, Carousel has sold more than $1 million in annual revenue through Intelisys.
“The most valuable aspects of our partnership with Intelisys are the instant broadening of our product portfolio and the ability to take a more consultative approach with customers," said Tim Kennedy, vice president of carrier services for Carousel Industries.
Kennedy said Carousel chose Intelisys due to its reputation for support and its "forward-thinking strategies around the cloud space."
“When Intelisys acquired Cloud Services Coalition in early 2012, we knew it was time to take our partnership to the next level," said Rick Ribas, vice president of partner sales and for Intelisys. “The cloud evolution is the strongest driving force behind the blending of the telecom and IT industries, and what better way to enhance our relationship with a prestigious VAR such as Carousel than to offer them a rock solid gateway into selling cloud."
