Cloud communications provider Telcentris Inc. has hired a pair of marketing pros who will work closely with channel partners.
First, Joe Lawrence, chief marketing officer, comes to the company from the CDMA Development Group where he led marketing and public relations. He also spent 10 years with Qualcomm and 25 years with the U.S. Navy. At Telcentris, Lawrence oversees all marketing, including partner communications and promotions.
"We intend to provide tools, partner customer care and information that partners will need to differentiate their business, drive sales, and be profitable," Lawrence told Channel Partners. "We intend to provide our partners with a world-class service. We intend to address their needs, help them sell, and show them some love now that we have more resources to do so."
Next, Tristan Barnum joins Telcentris to run digital marketing, channel partner communications and promotional campaigns. Barnum may be best known as the co-founder of Switchvox, which Digium bought in 2007. She also worked at MP3.com, which later was purchased by Vivendi Universal Net USA; Barnum was awarded a patent while at Vivendi. Her aim for Telcentris is to pay special attention to partners. For example, she will send more information, more often, set up training and conduct online marketing.
"The big focus right now is to keep what's working for our channel program...while working to retool things that need work – namely, getting really qualified leads in the door through inbound marketing so that we can pass them to our channel partners to close," Barnum told Channel Partners. "We have a clear path and are building the tools to get it done."
Telcentris services include hosted PBX, SIP trunks and hosted contact center.
