Video managed services provider Yorktel, a channel partner, on Monday unveiled its new VideoCloud portfolio.
VideoCloud is Yorktel's hosted video conferencing service that integrated with Microsoft Lync and Office 365. That means users on any Microsoft Lync client may use VideoCloud to connect to systems from Cisco, Polycom, Avaya, LifeSize and other vendors.
"We are providing the means for organizations of any size to realize the full potential of video conferencing, unified communications and visual collaboration without complexity or cost," said Ron Gaboury, Yorktel's CEO. The company's approach to video managed services, he added, "liberates customers from having to support multiple communications platforms and security protocols by instead choosing a single partner and solution."
VideoCloud comes in three packages: a virtual meeting room, for reservationless, on-demand use; managed conferencing with bridging, call control and support for multipoint rooms; and B2B service, an which lets companies schedule and host external, inter-company video meetings where all participants make outbound calls.
Yorktel serves customers from streaming media clients and Fortune 1000 corporations to federal agencies.
