Users now may conduct voice and video conferences over PCs, tablets and smartphones running operating systems including Windows, Windows Phone, iOS and Android, AT&T said this week. There's also real-time document and applications collaboration, as well as instant messaging.
AT&T said business users may run Lync on-premise or as part of its Office 365 cloud-based services.
The partnership between AT&T and Microsoft involves revenue-sharing and is not exclusive, according to reports. AT&T targets businesses ranging in size from startups and SMBs to large enterprises.
