CHANNEL PARTNERS — ServerCentral (Booth 8032) said today its latest availability zone will open up to partners on April 1 in San Francisco.
The managed data center services provider uses the term "availability zones" when it's talking about independent data center facilities that host the cloud’s underlying physical network, compute and storage infrastructure. They generally are in disparate geographic areas to balance traffic, provide lower latency, and to insure against a single site service disruption.
San Francisco marks ServerCentral's second availability zone for its Enterprise Cloud portfolio.
“This next step in our cloud portfolio expansion is the fulfillment of our customers’ single most requested feature to date – more availability zones," said Peter Berg, vice president of sales and marketing for ServerCentral. “Customers can expect to see continuous innovation and an aggressive rollout strategy as we further enhance our platform and service offerings."
ServerCentral is demonstrating its Enterprise Cloud this week at the Spring 2013 Channel Partners Conference & Expo.
