snom says its UC Edition IP business phones are now fully interoperable with Microsoft Lync Server 2013, the unified communications platform that connects people on Windows 8 and other devices.

The new snom 710, 720 and 760 IP phones headline the company’s six-phone snom UC Edition family and were on display in the Lync Conference expo hall in San Diego on Feb. 19. According to the company, snom’s UC Edition phones are the industry’s first SIP endpoints to earn “Qualified" status for Microsoft Lync Server 2013.

“snom has a long history of leadership with Lync interoperability," said Michael Knieling, COO, snom technology AG. “We were the first SIP phones qualified for Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Release 2 (OCS R2) and Lync 2010, so we’re excited to continue our unique partnership as Microsoft upgrades to Lync 2013."
