CHANNEL PARTNERSACT Conferencing, an Executive Sponsor of the Spring 2013 Channel Partners Conference & Expo, has launched Forum, a video conferencing platform that connects participants on any device, on any system, the company said.

“Gone are the days of limiting video conferencing capabilities to the office suite," said Gary Iles, vice president of sales and marketing for ACT Conferencing. “We’re emphasizing mobility, and in turn we’re extending business offerings beyond the office."

ACT said Forum lets channel partners offer high-quality, flexible conferencing that works among room-based systems, executive desktop video products, tablets, PCs/Macs and mobile devices. The new any-to-any cloud service does this by tying together H.323, SIP, Skype, Google Talk and WebRTC endpoints into one virtual meeting room.
